She/her - Dragonborn

Liv is a young Dragonborn living in the ruins of the old world. She can barely recall her childhood. Liv knows she’s “not normal” for a draconic being. She has powerful abilities, but she knows they are slowly killing her, whether she wants to come to that realization or not. She believes the solution is for her to find the origin of these powers and learn to control them to reach near-godhood, but might later realize that may not be what she truly wants. Liv puts on a tough act out of necessity. Deep down she fears death, the unknown of it all and the threat of it looming over her, as well as those who persecute her for her abilities and rebellious actions in the wastes. It takes a while for her to trust most others again, she also doesn't want to endanger anyone close to her.

There are many who wish to kill or capture Liv. Some believe she is an abomination, or wish to cut her up and see what makes her tick.

She’s not invincible, however. Each time she uses her abilities she changes, overheats, gets weaker in the long run.

She’s a punk, impulsive, chaotic, energetic, and has a twisted sense of humor. She can’t always control her emotions. She has a kind, empathetic, joyful soul within her, but folk rarely give her the chance to show it. Her beastly appearance both contrasts and compliments her very human emotions, they are monstrous, but can be just as beautiful as they are scary. as well as play a role in how she’s seen by others. She has a heart of gold and cannot resist the urge to save a life.

But… could still tear somebody limb-from-limb…

Oblivion (aka Liv)

Older design

Alloy

He/him - Robot

Alloy is a supporting protagonist and Liv’s companion, a robot Liv rescues on her journey. He becomes grateful to Liv, who wants nothing to do with him at first. Helping Liv on her journey becomes his “prime directive.” He quickly becomes one of the only friends she’s had in years and a gateway into her mental health struggles and fears. Alloy becomes a catalyst for Liv’s character growth. Liv often refers to him as “bolts.”

Junker

I knew early on I needed the main protagonists to have an animal companion to act as an emotional glue that binds the party together. I want Liv to have a pet to help her through her toughest battles, both physically and emotionally. Meet Junker! A strange creature Liv is forced to adopt on her journey, as Junker will not leave her side. I want him to fit into the tone of this world, his design is still a work in progress but I knew early on he had to be unconventionally cute and simultaneously deadly.

I plan for there to be more supporting protagonists and not all may appear in every episode.

As for antagonists, I plan for there to be several of different categories, from minor, episodic villains to the big bad guys who are the main threat or a threat for several episodes.
